Tips

  • The cell on the smaller side of a sign can never hold the largest number, and the cell on the larger side can never hold 1.
  • A chain of signs along a line nearly fixes the values. On 4×4, four cells rising one after another must be 1, 2, 3, 4.
  • Cross off the numbers already used in each line to narrow down what is left.
