Work on the columns with the most face-down cards first.
Only a K can go into an empty column. Clear a column when you have a K to move there.
Moving cards to the foundations too early can leave you short of cards to build on in the tableau.

How many times can I go through the deck?

As many times as you like.

When does auto-complete kick in?

Once every card in the tableau is face up, the rest move to the foundations by themselves.

Do hints affect my record?

Yes. Each hint adds penalty time to your record.
